Becky was such an instrumental part of me getting to have a chance at breastfeeding my daughter for now almost 16 months! Before Becky, I didn’t realize there were people like her out there to help moms navigate the breastfeeding journey outside of what’s thrown at you in
the hospital. My daughter was born full term at 5lb 13oz. From what I knew, she was latching well since I didn’t experience pain and she didn’t seem to fuss when latched on so I assumed all was well. When we arrived home, I immediately felt overwhelmed and so lost. When my baby
wasn’t sleeping on me, she was nursing every hour for what seemed like an hour. We heard about Becky and got in to see her. She helped me learn that baby girls palate was so high up that she wasn’t getting a good latch like I thought, and this was causing her to not be able to
transfer adequate amounts of milk. We were referred for lip tie/tongue tie release, chiropractic care and weekly meetings with Becky for a bit, too. In our meetings, Becky would teach me exercises to strengthen my daughter's muscles to nurse better and had me pumping and nursing to help truly fill up her belly. Because of those interventions early on, it has been such a beautiful time getting to nurse my daughter with such ease. I wish I had Becky back with my other two babies knowing what I know now. Becky is such an amazing person to just sit and converse with and has so much wisdom and advice beyond just breastfeeding. I am truly
grateful to Becky for helping and allowing me to learn how beautiful and bonding it truly can be to breastfeed and not just duty and hard work. 

Becky has been such a huge help in my breastfeeding journeys with both of my daughters. With my 2nd daughter, when she was just under a week old we started started struggling with feeding and latching. I reached out to Becky immediately and she was able to ease my mind, give me strategies to help keep my sleepy baby awake and engaged to feed, and just offer so much incredible support and knowledge. After meeting with Becky we did a complete 180 and my baby’s weight gain increased, feedings improved and breastfeeding became so much more enjoyable for me. 

Going into my 2nd breastfeeding journey I didn’t expect to run into any issues; I’d done this before, I should know what I’m doing, I shouldn’t need help. I knew how incredible breastfeeding can be and I was eager to get to the point where it was enjoyable, simple, and comes naturally. When this hiccup came up I panicked and the stress set in. With Becky’s support, and reassurance that each baby/journey different, I was able to reach that stage and push through the struggles. I’m so beyond grateful to Becky and all the knowledge I have gained, and will continue to learn, from her! 

I connected with Becky through her prenatal breastfeeding class. My husband and I both commented that we learned so much and felt that the best part was connecting with Becky ahead of the birth of our first baby. I could tell from the onset of meeting Becky that her passion was helping families feed the way they wanted to, and find support during the early days.
