We accept many insurance plans, including BCBS, Aetna, UHC, UMR, and Cigna. Superbills are available if you’d like to submit for reimbursement.
If you do not have one of the accepted insurance plans or I am not in-network with your insurance plan, consultations can be paid for out-of-pocket. I will give you a superbill to submit for reimbursement.
I am credentialed with insurance through Lactation Consultants of America. Most plans cover lactation support as a qualifying medical expense. Some plans will cover lactation care at 100% and some plans will require cost-sharing. You may call your insurance company and ask if Lactation Consultants of America are covered. If you are told no, I still encourage you to fill out the intake forms and return them so that LCA can talk with your insurance plan. Some families have been covered after their insurance plan said they were not.
I'm happy to help you navigate your options.
Coverage varies by provider and location. If you have one of accepted insurance plans (Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, UHC, UMR), the easiest way to determine eligibility to use insurance to pay for lactation visits is to send a contact form from the website and Becky will send you paperwork. Once that paperwork is submitted, eligibility can be determined. We’re happy to help you navigate your options.
